Rave Alert
Rave Alert is ECC’s primary emergency notification system. ECC uses it to send urgent safety messages, campus closure notices, and time-sensitive emergency updates by text, email, phone, and desktop alert.
Who Receives Alerts
Current ECC students and employees are automatically enrolled in Rave Alert using the contact information on file with the college. You do not need to create a separate account to receive emergency notifications.
You should still review your Rave Alert contact information to make sure ECC can reach you during an emergency. You may add or update personal contact methods, such as a mobile phone number or personal email address, by logging in to Rave Alert.
Update Your Contact Information
To log in, go to emergency.elgin.edu.

What Rave Alerts Are For
ECC may send Rave Alerts for campus closures, evacuations, shelter-in-place instructions, avoid-area notices, or other emergencies requiring immediate protective action.
Rave Alert does not replace fire alarms, tornado alarms, lightning alarms, public address announcements, police instructions, or other emergency communication methods. Always follow the instructions provided through the warning system used during the incident.
Follow the Instructions in the Alert
Read the full message and follow the instructions provided. Depending on the situation, you may be told to evacuate, shelter, avoid an area, delay travel to campus, or monitor other communications from the college for updates.
Continue to follow the most recent official instructions until the situation is resolved or new guidance is provided.
