Search by Course Format
Online-Only
Delivered 100% online, these classes feature no face-to-face sessions. Entirely online, following instructor timelines and learning outcomes. Interaction is primarily through discussion boards and written messages; assignments are submitted online.
Online-Synchronous
Courses are delivered 100 percent online with real-time, specifically scheduled online interaction with your instructor and/or class. These classes allow for engagement in a remote classroom.
Hybrid
Classes with both face-to-face and online instruction. The definition of a hybrid course typically requires a 50 percent split between face-to-face and online instruction.
Face-to-Face
Traditional on-campus classroom instruction is at a scheduled time and day in the exact physical location. Regular 16-week classes are ideal for students who enjoy direct interaction. The days and times for each section vary.
Weekend Classes
Weekend classes balance work, school, and personal life, especially for students who cannot attend during the week. For weekend classes, use the 'Advanced Search' tab and choose the days of the week: Friday and/or Saturday.
8 and 12 Week Classes
Classes vary by department and semester, so refer to the accessECC to use the Advanced Search tab and enter the meeting start and end dates. They're a great alternative to the traditional 16-week courses.
Honors Classes
The ECC honors program offers talented and highly motivated students the opportunity to cultivate their potential through both classroom-based and co-curricular experiences.
Classes Haven't Started Yet
To find class offerings that have not started yet, use the 'Advanced Search' tab and enter the meeting start date, using today's date or later, and enter a meeting end date.
ECC reserves the right to convert initially designated hybrid courses to alternative forms of delivery, depending on the State of Illinois' Recovery Plan.
