ECC alum Shelby Ann Taylor excels in Pacemaker Awards

ECC students and Observer staff Indie Wilson, Kip Kane, Dominic Di Palermo, Nick Obradovich, Eric Rangel, and Michelle Doherty

ECC alum Shelby Anne Taylor, ’21, former Observer editor-in-chief, earned 3rd place in the Story of the Year Feature Writing category of the Pacemaker awards from the Associated Collegiate Press. The Observer is 海角社区’s student-run newspaper.

Additionally, the Observer’s website took eighth place nationally for Best in Show in the two-year school division. The winners were announced on October 28 at , a national college journalism conference in Washington, DC.
